MasterWorks 3-31 - Hauptwerk 2 Requirements

The MasterWorks 3-31 sample set comes in stereo at 24 bit 48kHz resolution with multiple loops for each sample, with some samples containing up to 6 or more loops. The following guide shows the minimum and maximum memory requirements for loading the entire instrument which will allow you to see how the organ may fit into your computer specifications. Note that users may disable ranks of samples from loading to even further reduce RAM use.

Maximum Ram Requirements STEREO (Includes Memory for Hauptwerk 2):

24 bit 48kHz-Multiple Loops Uncompressed 6.2 GB (3.1 GB loading in Mono)

Minimum Ram Requirements STEREO (Includes Memory for Hauptwerk 2):

16 bit 48kHz-Single Loops Lossless Compression 1.65 GB (800MB loading in Mono)

Please note that the preferred method to run dry samples are through a multi-channel audio system with samples loading in Mono using a C/C# split between channels for each rank. Loading in Mono reduces Stereo memory requirements by half.

Licensing:

The Hauptwerk version 2 MasterWorks 3-31 sample set files are encrypted. You MUST be running the Studio or Concert version (not the Evaluation version) of Hauptwerk 2.21 or above to install this product. Without a valid license the set will not be playable. By purchasing this set, you will receive a license update from Crumhorn Labs specific to your PC to allow functionality of the sample set. Computer Requirements:
To take full advantage of the entire organ and Hauptwerk 2 features we recommended using a PC with the following system requirements or better. However lesser systems may still work adequately depending on the options chosen in Hauptwerk 2.
Please note that the Hauptwerk 2 MAC OS X port is now available from Crumhorn Labs. This product will work fully on a Mac computer running Hauptwerk 2.

Audio Card supporting 48kHz audio resolution - Currently E-MU products provide 64 bit Windows drivers with ASIO support. This is preferred over Direct Sound (WDM) for lower latency. We tested Hauptwerk 2 successfully with the E-MU 1820 in ASIO mode.
