Hauptwerk Display Pages:

The Main Console Display
(Minimum Screen Resolution 1280x1024)

The MW 3-31 features a photo-realistic theatre organ console. Using this display users can verify that their MIDI keyboards are properly mapped to the correct virtual keyboards as well as the pedals and will see the visual movement of the keys and pedals when played with either a MIDI console, MIDI sequencer, or by clicking on them with a mouse. The expression pedals also show the status of each division. From left to right the expression shoes are Main, Solo, Master Expression and Crescendo (20 stages and fully programmable). The toe studs and foot levers will also function properly. From left to right the foot levers activate the cymbal roll, cymbal crash, and gong. The 5 toe studs are mapped as the pedal divisionals. Note that the horseshoe tabs are not functional and are only shown for display purposes. Users will also find both the Great Sostenuto switch and the Piano Sustain switch next to the Solo and Master Expression pedals. The Piano Sustain switch acts just like a real piano damper pedal allowing repetition of single notes while keeping them sustained. When using this switch you will even hear the piano dampers activate.

The Solo and Great Display
(Minimum Screen Resolution 1280x1024)

Hauptwerk (version 3 Advanced Edition only) supports multiple display pages across more than one monitor and we have created the MW 3-31 with this feature in mind. The Solo and Great display page contains all stop tabs from these two divisions in a large easy to read format providing the look and feel of conventional theatre organ stop tabs and text. This will be ideal for use with a dual touch screen monitor. Each division on this display contains all 15 Divisional pistons as well as 5 General pistons (Generals are from the far left). All together there are 15 General pistons divided between the 3 divisions.

The Accompaniment and Pedal Display
(Minimum Screen Resolution 1280x1024)

The Accompaniment and Pedal display page is the counterpart to the previous display and contains all tabs for the Accompaniment and Pedal divisions along with the corresponding Generals and Divisionals. The 5 Pedal Divisionals are located under the Pedal Division just above the Crescendo Programmer. All Tremulant and General tabs are also located on this display page as well as effect push buttons.
Using the Crescendo Programmer, users may quickly and easily customize each of the 20 stage crescendo pedal settings. By putting the programmer into program mode simply click the buttons to raise the number (from 1-20) and for each number set which stops you would like by either clicking them with a mouse, or using external MIDI switches. Once all 20 stages are set, leave programming mode (turn off the small rocker switch so the red light is not illuminated) and now the crescendo pedal will play the desired stages which were just customized. The default crescendo settings are included with the set, so users do not need to know how to set this up since it is already done within the organ file.
Located at the bottom right corner is a slider which users can use to adjust the length of pizzicato in milliseconds. This ranges from 55ms to 145ms with 15ms increments. The default setting is 100ms and if changed the setting will be remembered upon the next load up of the organ into Hauptwerk 2.

The Full View Display
(Minimum Screen Resolution 1280x1024)

Finally the Full View display features the entire organs control system (minus crescendo and pizzicato programmers) all on one screen. Everything on this page is interlinked to stop tabs on either of the other display pages so one may use any display they wish.

Licensing:

The sample set is encrypted using the specialized Hauptwerk formatting and will not be accessible via any other hardware or software sample engine. Each user will receive a dongle license update after purchase of this set. This set will not work with trial versions of Hauptwerk, users MUST own a licensed version of either the Studio or Concert Editions of Hauptwerk 2 or higher (Basic and Advanced Editions for Hauptwerk 3+.) Using the Hauptwerk 2 Concert Edition, users have the ability to voice the organ for their own environment. The sample set is not locked to the original organ definition file, therefore users may use the CODM provided with Hauptwerk. Please note that by doing so we cannot guarantee adequate results as this is effectively removing all included voicings, tremulant adjustments and user interface controls. We will not provide support for anyone working outside of the included ODF (organ definition file) for this set. Use of the CODM is at your own risk.

Operating Systems:

Hauptwerk is available for both PC and Mac computers. Therefore this sample set will work properly on either operating system. Please consult the Crumhorn Labs website for more information about which operating system may be right for you.

Temperaments:

This organ loads in Equal Temperament only.
